Hello For the past 18 years, I have worked in the UK freelance market, with one year in New Zealand. 80% of that work was for the BBC, with independent companies and corporates making up the rest. From my credit list you will see I have worked on a huge variety of programmes. My approach to filming is that no project is too small or too large. Everything has its own challenges and rewards. I pride myself on my ability to light with speed and enthusiasm to a very high standard. I can adapt quickly to any situation, working with the team or just 'getting on with it'. My handheld work is fluid and I always provide the editor with plenty of cutaways! I have world-wide experience, having worked in most of Europe, the US, the Middle East and the South Pacific. Despite my extensive credit list, I approach each film with the same passion I had when I first started. I always live by the motto 'You are only as good as your last job'! I own all my kit, which I maintain and service regularly. As well as ensuring that it is in top condition, it also means that my technical knowledge is second to none. Health and Safety I have worked as a Cameraman for 17 years and have gained a competent knowledge of the changing and working environment of filming. I carry protective eye wear, flourescent jacket, first aid kit and ear plugs on board the van. I also have a selection of ropes and harnesses for working at heights. I completed the BBC course 'Safe Working with Cameras and Lights' on the 11th of May 2004. |
